Mighty mite necks review. I bought a Mighty Mite Strat Neck from StewMac. This is my review its shit. I can return it or refret it.
Im going to refret it. Ive read that Mighty Mite necks are hit and miss some people get lucky some dont. Heres what I can tell you do not buy one of these necks if you plan on simply dropping it into your Strat.
It will need work before its usable. But lets stick to the BG review format shall we. I recently bought a Mighty Mite neck too and Ive been slowly preparing it for use.
There was excess superglue and a small chip in the satin finish near the nut. I drop-filled the chip with CA glue and sandedpolished the entire area. I took care of fret sprout in January so that should be the end of that.
There were also three high fret ends and a few whacks with a jewelers hammer fixed. Ive been playing and building over 20 years. The Mighty Mite necks are a good bang for the buck.
If you want the best neck ever then this isnt it. If you want to build a strat for cheap that holds up to any regular production Fender you can do that with these necks. Just expect to do sanding fin.

It is a C-shape maple neck with a Indian Rosewood fretboard 22 medium-jumbo frets. They put a cheap plastic nut on the neck which caused stri. The Mighty Mite necks made today are far better quality than those made a year or two ago.
The wood is nicer the fit and finish is better the frets are level and theyre well finished. This was not true in the past. The one area that could stand to get a little better is the nut.

Mighty Mite Strat Neck. Maple tends to be a good bet with Mighty Mite. The Rosewood necks have poorer reviews.
Personally I just bought my second 2928 neck jumbo frets because I love the first one so much. Plays with a super low action without buzz and is fast looks great and sounds great. Mighty Mite offers guitar necks with Birdseye maple maple rosewood laurel or ebony fingerboards.
I watched and read a lot of reviews prior to buying this Mighty Mite Neck for my Strat. When compared against Fender Warmouth and Squire the consensus seemed to be that most preferred this neck. I restore guitars often and I was not disappointed with this one.
The finishing and quality are amazing. It was just a little thick at the heel. A quick sander job to take it down 132 and it fit the body of my guitar.
I have a Mighty Mite on a Warmoth Jazz body its a decent neck for the price but not amazing. If I were to have known better when I had it swapped from a fretless neck I would have spent the extra loot on a Fender neck. Id go original if you can swing it.

I found the original neck on the Variax to be too thick in the upper register and also prefer a compound radius fretboard. This Mighty Mite neck seemed like the perfect choice. This was an almost exact fit and I didnt have to fiddle too much with the intonation afterward.
